Julie Barbeau was born and grew up in Montreal. She was raised by a French-Canadian mother and Jamaican father in a very rich and culturally diversified environment. In 2004, she starts intensive training by choosing to work with John Strasberg's acting technic, the Organic Creative Process, that she develops further with him in NYC and with Gilles Plouffe in Montreal. She participated in 2006 in the creation of Intentional Dreams Productions/ Plateau Theatre, which she is today a very proud founding member.  In 2012, she received and Outstanding Achievement Award as Lead Actress from the LAWebFest for her role as Karine in the webseries, To Be Or Not To Be Jack Russell. Now and since then, Julie alternates various productions for musicals, voice over, films, television and theatre. Since September 2018 she also has become a radio host on the hit show Le Biscuit Chinois CFNJ 88,9 & 99,1.
